Hi everyone, picked this bike up at a garage sale and it seems to me that it may be a fair quality bike, but needs a major overhaul. It has:
BFR rims, with bomb primo hubs
Primo crank, with Volume chainring
Redneck LT stem
Thats all i know about it, other than it has wishbone seat stays, the rear forks are cast, (and not pressed steel plate), with axle alignment screws.
Heres a couple of pics, if they're any help...
better pictures of whole bike....

thats the best i can do at the moment, its nightime here, and the bike is black, so hard to photograph it. I first thought it might be a volume frame after looking at some of their bikes, but the gusset at the meeting of the top/down/head tubes i cant find on any Volume frame.

There is no serial number, if it was printed on, its been resprayed. The rear brake is behind the bottom bracket shell. Is that unusual?

No, thats just a chainstay brake mount, which is actually more common on cheaper/older bikes that came stock with larger gearing. Putting anything smaller on there could be a problem.
its not a cheap walmart bike!!! Looks like a haro backtrail to me? im just guessing thow

I agree with yearz, it looks like a Haro Backtrail. What gives it away is the curved rear right past the sear tube...

The size/position/shape of the tubes and where they meet. If midschool at all, its a really late era.

yeah, good call, the built in tensioner and the hug guard thing on the dropout point more modern.
... and the 14mm axle.
Does that look like a specialized logo on the tail of the pierced toptube?

Its not a specialized logo on the tail of the top tube, its a scratch, alas!
