I used to ride a Rock Lobster Single Speed mountain bike w. a 34x17 combo and 26 inch wheels
15 years later I got my next SS that has a 44x19 combo with 700c wheels
my slide rule is out of whack so please tell me the gear inch difference
boy this ssing is addictive...
gonna convert my KMonkey to SS after a few more road miles in my legs

so a 10.5 inch difference..
what does that really mean, for every revolution I'll go ten inches further with the higher gear?

No, you go 10.5 / 3.14 = 3.34 inches farther.
Also, that assumes that your tires are 700 x 32c, which are 27" nominal diameter. Smaller tires will result in a smaller difference.
