Classic & Vintage - Our co-op is moving and we are having a Moving SALE!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
VeloCity Co-op in Alexandria VA (outside Washington DC) is moving to a new, smaller, location. There are few classic bikes, classic vintage parts, etc, etc
A tons of jerseys. Some from the late 70's. Some from the 80's...
See my previous thread. Some of the bikes shown in the photos below have been sold but there are few others worth looking at. I think the Bob Jackson tandem is still there.

There are bins and bins with parts and all kinds of stuff that has been donated to the co-op.
Sale starts this weekend from Jan 14 -29. Come check it out and do some picking. You never know what you could find and you will be helping a co-op that is very involved with the local community

You get MUCH nicer stuff at your co-op than what we get up here.
You will be amazed what some people have donated. The bikes that were donated (shown in the older thread) were just amazing.
A local gym donated 6 CycleOps spin bikes, etc, etc... Bikes, parts come in almost every weekend. BUT the new location is smaller so a lot has to go...

Do you have any SA 3,4 or 5-speed stuff in the shop? I've never been, but it may be worth visiting on Saturday. :)

There are about 15 - 20 large bins with specific parts. I can't remember if there is specific SA bin parts since this is not my area of interest. If so, they might be in the 'Hubs' bin. The bikes that could not be fixed or recycled were chopped up and the parts were put in these bins.
There are also tons of donated bikes that are going to be hopefully fixed and sold. Most low end bikes with a gem here and there. Of course 'gem' is a relative term.
Sorry I could not be more specific as I can't remember as the last time I was there was while ago. However, I think half the fun is digging around and finding stuff.
PS. The stuff in the glass display cases are classic vintage parts. Some Campy stuff in the original boxes, etc, etc

Looking for a set or one Dia Compe G Braze on centerpull w/ springs and mounts. Will gladly make a "donation" if you stumble across any!
We do not have a co-op :( Sure wished we did. Closest one is 2 hours away.
I've never been, but it may be worth visiting on Saturday. :)
You should definitely get down there.
Went to the co-op yesterday and helped out a little bit. Lots of low end to a few mid levels bikes for sale. These bikes are great for people looking for transportation, going to work, something cheap, etc.
The rest of the nice stuff I tried to capture in the photos below. Several nice steel frames. Two Paramounts, the Bob Jackson tandem, Cilo frame, Roberts frame, an old Raleigh city bike, one pair of Sturmey Archer wheels/hubs (looks like one is a generator hub) that look almost immaculate but the tires are dry rotted.
And lots of larger size jerseys

What's the price on that Bob Jackson? I saw the listing on the DC Cl, surfed over to the site. Then saw it here. That's a great coop!
