Just put some Armadillo's on my Specialized Hardrock for commuting to school and around town, since we have no snow here, so had them a week and so far so good, seem alot quicker than my nobbies......anyone have any opinions or experiences with these? Thanks!!

I had 26 x 1.5 Armadillo Nimbus on my commuter before. They seemed fast but rode rough. I replaced it with 26 x 1.95 Crossroads and the rode better in terms of soaking up potholes but is slower on smooth pavement. I believe the Nimbus has a different thread pattern now and maybe a change in structure. Mine was bought in 2010 and was replaced under warranty both front and rear due to thread separation. It was noticed when I took them off and swapped out with the Crossroads.

Mine are the 26x1.5's and seem to be fairly fast when hard, but if a little soft they seem to slog...we got about a half inch of snow so I decided to try them in that, and they did actually fairly well! didnt take corners at race speed, but good enough to not swap out immediatly as it it warming up in the next couple days..
