I have a bicycle I obtained with all the peices and with a really neat head lamp. The elderly gentleman who gave me the bike wasnt sure exactly on the date of the bike but it is up in the air if it is from 1935. It is a elgin from sears and roebuck and the serial number is mos 71393.
Both me and my wife have spent many hours online trying to find images close to what we have to maybe identifiy what kind of elgin bike it is and the only thing that I could find to look up in old sears and roebuck catalogs was from ancestry.com but you have to have a subscription to them to even look at them and I have no reason to be on there. I did learn abit about the serial numbers and what they mean and I found that sears and roebuck used the serial numbers as the catalog part number. The closest thing that looks anything like my bike that me and my wife have found is the "gull" but I dont beleive that it could be that.233205
I do have more pictures if this doesnt work.

These are the other pictures of this bicycle. I just want to know what this is. It may look a little rough but I fell in love with it the first time I seen it! I have the front fender and the basket also a set of spare handle bars.
