My favorites are chocolates from the Wisteria Candy Cottage (http://wisteriacandycottage.com/). It's off the beaten path, about 65 miles east of San Diego and well worth the trip.

My favorite is Gearharts Chocolate (http://gearhartschocolates.com/v/fine.html).
It is in Charlottesville, VA but they ship FedEx. No preservatives so they need to be eaten within a week ;)

Anything, but the coffee flavoured ones, from Roger's Chocolates of Victoria. http://www.rogerschocolates.com/
Geez... do I have to chose just one? Anything fruity and juicy and sweet! Not gum tho, me no likey gum.
I had some exceptional chocolates in Paris and not a clue as to the name of any of them.

Anyone tried these?
I personally shoplifted about 300 of them from the store when I was in the middle school.
Edit: Including my 2 friends. I was the second most effective. The first one was very petite and always wore baggy clothing with big sleeved jacket. Can't compete with that.

Has the statute of limitations expired, is there still a reward available?

Statute of limitations gone. That was in the communist Yugoslavia. Henceforth I can speak freely about the whole thing.
I should also mention that the 3rd most effective person was kind of big. I was medium and held the second place while the first one was petite and held the gold medal. Makes me wonder if size really matters in that kind of craft... We were 3 best friends.

As far as basic candy goes, my house is never without these:

The Cailler Swiss chocolate factory is next door to where my daughter works. The chocolate she sends us is the best! Particurally like the dark chocolate infused with ground coffee beans.

I'm not a candy snob, I like lots of it.
My favorites are M&M Peanut, Hershey's dark, Reese's, peanut patties.
I also like a lot of other candies, such as candy corn. I'm not so keen on gummy bears and such. My least favorite is hard candy.
Left to my own devices, I'll graze on these all day.

Ernest likes him some Reese's Pieces too. Best candy ever!

I also like candy corn, chocolate candy corn, and those little sugar candy pumpkins in the Harvest Mix. I can't eat a whole lot because the sugar takes effect pretty quickly.

60-70% dark chocolate alone, or with just about anything.

My problem with those is not enough chocolate. I much prefer peanut butter M&Ms, for something small, like that.

I think the best I've had are either See's Candies or Violet Crumbles(probably because they are an import candy I don't get my hands on often), but I don't indulge often. I might be diabetic or something, as I can have sugar up to a certain point and then I get the munchies.

Hershey's Milk Chocolate with Almonds. This has stood the test of time. :D
Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate peanut butter cups. Betcha can't eat just one.
Trader Joe's Non-pareils. People either love these or hate them. But, if you like Chocolate, just try to eat just one.

I like good (not the kind that's been sitting in an airport bin for weeks for tourists and such) saltwater taffy. Most flavors but peanut butter or molasses are may favorites.
Those gummy worms that taste like peaches.

Cinder Toffee covered in chocolate, Velvet Crumble in Australia
Honeycomb – Britain, South Africa and Australia.
Yellow Man – Northern Ireland.
Puff Candy – Scotland
Hokey Pokey – New Zealand
Sponge Candy – Canada, Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York, USA.
Sea Foam – Maine, Washington, Oregon, Utah, California and Michigan, USA.
Fairy or Angel Food Candy – Wisconsin, USA
Known by many names (http://derekslark.hubpages.com/hub/Chocolate-Crunchie-Tiffin), it's a delicious [typically] seasonal treat! I brought three bags of the dark chocolate variety back to SC over the holidays. My Sis-in-law makes the best homemade.

Those look great. I have an ex-girlfriend who would love them. She'll never get them though. ;)

Bridgewater Chocolate and Hauser Chocolate, both local.
Tart citrus candies are good too.
