Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

guy wants to trade me this + 700 cash for my DB mission 2.

what do you guys think?
How old/what condition is your DB? On the face of it, that's not too bad a deal. I've used the XCL frame, and it's not bad. I personally think the seller's overestimating the value of the wheelset, but still....
Since I'm NOT into rigids, and would never personally get rid of a FS MTB unless it broke, I (obviously) can't counsel you on its usefulness for your needs.
If you want a rigid, go for it.

I would swap the rigid fork for a suspended fork pretty much immediately. Trails are too bumpy around here to go full rigid. Currently asking 1400 for my DB which is a 2010 and has been ridden pretty hard for one season. Really dont need it anymore have a new AM bike that will be done next month.
What would you guys pay for the 9er if you were just going to buy it out right?

Brakes and components are pretty basic. Nothing to brag about. Ken is pricing it squarely. The weight isn't that impressive for a rigid bike with no pedals.
