Cross Nationals

well did any of you race this last weekend at the Nationals? if not you missed it, it was a blast!!

I did not race at nationals, but I watched quite a few of the races. I think the Brad Ross & Brian Witty and all the volunteers did an excellent job setting and running the event! I would also tip my hat to all the competitors who raced under very difficult conditions. The racing conditions were either extremely muddy or muddy and very windy.

I was glad that Ryan Trebon came up and challenged Jonathan Page to make the elite men’s race for championship interesting. Really the fight for every position made the race exciting to watch. Further who would have predicted that Katie Compton would pull away from Gina Hall and Ann Knapp? Anyway if you didn’t go you missed a fun festive event!

Hopefully someone will create a West Coast Cyclocross Championship in Portland the week before nationals next year to make up for nationals being back east.
