Sup guys, usually order most my parts online from cbo, jenson, etc. but ive been looking at chain reaction cycles and they seam to have a way bigger selection and a lot of stuff other sites dont. Anyone ordered from them who can tell me if their decent? Shipping, customer service, or just generally were you happy with them?
Thanks :thumb:

They have been good to me here in Germany. The main problem is that if you need to send something back and you are not in the UK it can be a pain in the ass (like clothing). I am not sure if they pay for shipping if you get a part that is broken and needs to be sent back. Also, because they are in the UK shipping takes a bit, but they dispatch the orders within a day of ordering usually. You might also have to pay some customs too if you aren't in the EU.

They have some awesome prices on some stuff (I got some polaris MTB shorts with a ton of pockets and removable chamois for 25 euro), but not everything they list on sale is on sale. You still should compare prices with other places.

I've never ordered from chain reaction, but I have used wiggle.co.uk. It's another online retailer based in the U.K. Ordered my Hope Pro2/Stans Flow wheelset from them, only took about 10 days or so to reach me in California. They don't have as big of a selection as chain reaction, but I've definitely had a positive experience with them and would order from them again.

I've used CRC a few times. They always manage to get the product out to me in 4-5 days from the UK to the USA, pretty quick shipping. My only gripe is that because they're such a large distributor, they ship things out very fast & they don't offer any way to cancel orders after they've been placed. I accidentally ordered two sets of pedals & asked to cancel one minutes after placing the order, & they apologetically told me it was too late to cancel. The guy did go ahead & send me a link for a return form & everything I'd need to get it back, but I decided to hold on to them instead, so I'm not 100% on return shipping costs.

Also, upon returning to the site, they do make a clear & obvious warning about the order canceling issue. It doesn't seem to be a shady business tactic with them, so much as a pitfall of having super fast order processing/shipping.

I've ordered from them a couple of times and been happy with them. Good prices, prompt service (or at least clear indication that something is out of stock) and helpful staff.

I wanted to order a cassette from them before Christmas but it was out of stock and the "due in stock" estimate kept shifting out until I decided to order the next one up, but you can't blame them if they don't get the stock in. I'd still rather know it's not expected for a month than be given something vague like "due in soon, order for immediate delivery".

I live in the UK, I can't comment on deliveries outside the UK.

I've had stuff shipped to Japan from them with no problems. My brother in Australia built most of his bike via them also with no problems.
Many of my friends here in Japan also use them (yen vs pound, yeah yeah)

Alright thanks everyone, my main concern was shipping taking a long time to the US and it sounds like they deliver promptly and aren't shady with their business. Thanks for the advice about their "sales" too, appreciate it. Now, time to go order that shopping cart!

CRC is great...haven't had any issues and would definitely order from them again. They're great for stuff to Canada.

I'd be worried that the wheels would lock up outside their parking lot.

Chain Reaction Cycles - I just had a problem with a Michelin Pilot City tyre which CRC replaced immediately free of charge.

They even send you a 'returns' form with the item which includes instructions and a coupon for FREE RETURN SHIPPING (for UK!!) if you have to send it back sometime in the future.

That is the kind of service which inspires confidence to buy.

Blueskycycling.com has been very good to me as well as Jenson. I just ordered some 5.10s from Zappos.com, didn't fit. They are sending out a replacement pair even before my return is on its way back to them. Usually they wait for the return before shipping. I like the trust.

Amazon and ebay have been good as well.

Before anyone buys a ton of clothes that may or may not fit...I'm pretty much 100% positive you are in the UK. I can say that in Germany the return shipping is NOT free, and I am pretty sure that applies to anywhere outside the UK.

A shout out to Zappos. I had ordered some 5.10 Camp 4s that came in too small. I ordered a replacement pair yesterday afternoon about 4pm Pacific time. They showed up at 1:30 today. I guess I have to admire UPS as well as Zappos, that is fast service.

I'm styling and channeling some crypt keeper tonight.
