GOodness gracious I just bought my first set of clipless pedals :). Fresh out of cash right now but im in a good mood so i dont care. PLus im getting a digi cam thursday so i can list my old frame and mp3 player and make up for it so i can buy the shoe :). Dont mind me, are there any things i should know (good or bad surprises) about these pedals

there are no surprises man, great pedals all around....no to worry about at all, they are solid

Nothing in particular. I'm running Cs (which are the same, but a bit heavier)
A hit on the pedal (like a large rock) can knock the cleat out of the pedal, and you may have to trim the tread on your shoe back a bit for more comfortable clipping. As I'm sure you know, practice clipping in and out BEFORE taking it out for a ride - just spend 10-15 minutes clipping each foot in and out, then do it while moving slowly until you're used to it. Might not hurt to practice clipping out in a panic situation (i.e. both feet at once rather quickly) just to be safe.
If you do plan to use these with non-cleated shoes until you get your shoes, you'll likely feel a nub through the shoe where the two metal bars stick up. They aren't really designed to be used without the cleats. Wear something that's got a pretty stiff soul to counter this.
They're good pedals - enjoy them.

I've heard quite a bit of good things about them... some people have trouble adjusting to them for whatever reason... ride them for awhile and let us know how it goes... keep us updated. I've been looking at getting a set myself

lol i dont even have a shoe right now for it, being in highschool i dont have a high paying job at the moment. Any recomendations on a bang for the buck shoe? Not necessarily cheap, well under 70 would be nice but bang for the buck.
Wait a minute you bought a pedal you can't even use yet? Why?

lol, i know it sounds weird but there is some logic! See i was browsing ebay (my cycling superstore) and i saw this auction a buy it now for the pedals 60.95 or something like that and on pricepoint its 109
and i figure well thats a good deal, so i wasn't sure how long thats gonna be around so i snagged it. I know it will probably be relisted 200 times over the next 3 months but i just dont wanna wait :) that long. So i figure i can get a shoe now, moving right along....any recomendations for a shoe?
Specialized has some good shoes. Personally I run Answer Speeders

My friend has Specialized Taho's and they're not only pretty nice looking but also reasonably comfortable. I've also heard some good things about Lake & 661's.

I like their pro road carbon white shoes. They look phat.

*laugh* i wont be able to afford a nice carbon shoe for some time, im probably going to go with what Raiyn suggested, answer speeders. They seem to have good reviews from what i've seen and they are affordable.

I wonder who makes Specialized's shoes for them... everyone seems to like them quite a bit.

Go to Nashbar.com. Lots of good deals there. I am going to get the Adistar Climacool Mountain Shoes--only 49.95, which is way off the retail price of 120.00. I can't wait to buy them. If you don't want those, the site has tons of other shoes. And they have cheap pedals too.
