BMX - winters not all bad

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Every rider(well maybe just me because I haver no indoor skateparks in a 1 1/2 hour driving range) thinks that winter is this all bad. But I have learned my best tricks during winter. Like last winter when i shoveled my driveway off then dryed it using my moms hair dryer and an extension cord, and in doing that I learned 180 roll outs and OK manuals. Now this winter (when there isn't snow on the ground but it's still only like 10 degrees) I learned x-ups, 1 footed x-ups, fufanus, wall rides, and how to 180 big gaps. I think that I learn this stuff during winter because I know that I am pressured on time so I know that if I don't land it now I might have to wait untill next year to land it. Does this happen to any of you?
well theres always snoriding, which is fun, but tiresome. I like going down a snowy hill. Its the poor mans skiing.

Snow ridings fun, me and all of my friends built a bike to do that, i took an old ****y rim welded the hub to the axle, then took n old snowmobile skiwelded it to the bottem and rode down hills, it worked for awhile until i didn't wanna bring it home so we smshed it up Kinda a waste, but it was fun :-)

Well it's not a tail whip its more like I whip the tail to the side of the bike whilst in the air,
and ive been riding for 8 years and im 14 I just haven't started to try to do tricks since this summer
that is because I just learned how to bunny hop and J-hop this summer.
sorry for the confusion
Does riding in the snow damage the hubs, bearings, etc?

i think, in my humble world, that if you have a lot of salt put on your roads your bike suffers. i mean, i ride a 4130 steel bike daily and it still seems good, but some of the pants i have been wearing have holes or stains in them from the bad ass salt they put on the roads. so, i think some of that salt could be bad.

burp. i just drank some soda. some kind of mountain dew that was blue. that is probably as bad for me as salt is for bikes.

that snowstorm sucks so bad right now...anyway, when there was only about 2 or 3 inchs of snow we shoveled out our park and i actually learned more stuff those 3 days then all summer. I think for one i grew some balls and started trying stuff and 2 i wanted to get some serious riding in before more snow came.
