Road Bike Racing - Downers Grove Criterium... over?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Just trying to set up my schedule for next year early. Now that US Postal won't be sponsoring the National Criterium Championships, are they not going to be run anymore in Downers Grove, or will they pick up new sponsorship and maybe it'll be the Discovery National Criterium Championships?

One of my big goals is to drop enough weight (20 more lbs to go to the ellusive 10% level!) so I can ride in some competitive races, beginning next spring. Assuming I'll still be in Chicago, does anyone know if, what, where, and when they'll be locally?? (I didn't even know about this Downers Grove race). It would an excellent reward for a lot of hard work! Thanks in advance for any info.

Downer's Grove is the National Criterium Championhips. Ridden by full time professionals. There may be undercard races...I went once but only got there for the big race. If they do undercard races, they may be hours before the National Championship.
For Chicago and regional races, try this site (http://www.truesport.com)
Obviously the calendar is pretty light now, but if you go to the bottom of the banner page, you will see links to calendars for regional races and Illinois is listed.
Also, if you get Velonews, they have races listed for the entire country.
Roadwarrior, thanks for the info!
Downers Grove races Citizen category all the way up to elite. If you came both days for the full day of events, you'd see them all racing. They also do a ride just before the start of the first race of the first day, and you get the chance to ride with the professionals. I wanted so badly to ride, but no one was around to watch my stuff, and I wasn't about to leave it out in the open. The Posties were there, and they were casually chatting with all the riders. I couldn't believe there were only about 15 or so folks that did the parade.
You also may want to check the usacycling.com website. They list all the races by region, so you can find out what races are being held in Illinois (or whatever state you decide to race in).
