carolinavelodrome.org is the website.... They announced the march date last week... The facility is absolutely awesome... Crit Course, Cross Course, ATB trails, BMX and the Track... 250m concrete.. they have the surface done, rails are in, tower is done, warmup track is done and they are putting in the finishing touches...

Category C Clinic for New Officials

This clinic is designed for anyone who is interested in becoming a license cycling official and is a prerequisite for anyone wishing to become a motorcycle official. This is an introduction to officiating cycling events. Attendees will be given an open book test following the presentation/instruction. The fee for the USA Cycling license is $35. In addition, there is a $25 clinic fee, which covers lunch and materials. All fees are due on the day of the clinic. Rulebooks and materials will be provided. This clinic will be held January 14, 2012 from 9 am to 5 pm in the upstairs meeting room at the Manchester Meadows Soccer Complex in Rock Hill, SC. The address is 337 E. Mt. Gallant Road Rock Hill, SC 29730. Track Specific Seminar for Officials

In preparation for the soon-to-be completed Giordana Velodrome in Rock Hill, SC, this clinic is designed for all officials who want to learn more about officiating Track events. Perhaps you have never officiated an actual Track event, or you simply want to refresh your Track knowledge....this is the clinic for you. The clinic will be held at the Giordana Velodrome at 2850 Cherry Road in Rock Hill on Feb. 4, 2012 and will be taught by International Commissaire Andy McCord. This one day clinic will begin at 8:00 am and go until Andy is finished, but plan on staying until at least 6:00 pm. The clinic fee is $20 which will cover the cost of lunch and snacks. The grand opening for the velodrome is scheduled for March 17th! Stay tuned for more details.

the Velodrome is mostly complete and crews are working on completing the finish line building, parking lot, and landscaping.

It's my understanding that racing will begin on Monday March 19:
