Going to try this question here.Novice, have gotten to the point wher I can climb local demon hill in granny ring 5th gear.Should I work on higher cadence at this time or continue to work on higher gears?Think cadence is 60 -70 .

cadence, man, cadence. the ability to pedal quickly is crucial to your ability to recover after a hard effort.

WRONG! cadence is not all that important as long as it's between 80- 100 rpm range, and on the hills forget about cadence we all cant pedal like LA.

Continue to ride! work on higher gears, working on cadence will not improve power output. i would also suggest doing intervals on the climb, that will improve your power output.
