Bicycle hearse (http://paulandmariansinclair.com/for-sale/) is up for sale. Any takers?

It's a cute idea. Do they have a bike with panniers if you want to be cremated? :D
Pretty cool. I suppose it could be used for other loads on the days nobody died?

Get your ashes scattered on the bike path. :)

What an embarrassment it would be if you got a flat on that during a funeral procession. Imagine having to get people to lift the coffin off the tricycle, put it on the ground while the tire is repaired, and then lifting it back up. I suppose it could cause a good laugh for everybody. "The guy was doing everything he could to postpone his burial."

No matter how you go, something could happen. On the way to my grandfather's funeral the hearse broke down, so they loaded the coffin in an old van. My grandfather hated vans. He associated them with hippies and other depraved things. My Mom thought it rather ironic and we chuckled about it during the services.
And talk about postponing your burial, my Mom spent 25 years in my brother's closet between the services and my scattering her ashes. They had been given to him because he could not make the service and we felt that his scattering them would help him adjust. But after a quarter century, he still couldn't face it.
So I got a tiny bottle of Jack Daniels to mix with the ashes and took her out to a beautiful place. She was so thirsty, that none of the liquor reached the bottom of the bag that her ashes were in. ;)
My friend was going to scatter her mother's ashes into the sea from an airplane. While driving to the airport, the ashes spilled in the car. Unfortunately, the car windows were open and her mom got scattered prematurely. My friend was able to gather some ashes for the airplane thing, but she was aware that a lot of the ashes were still scattered in the car. Even a good vacuuming failed to gather them all up. When my friend sold her car a few years later, she was aware of her mom's ashes still being under the seats or ground into the carpet. She actually wrote quite a good poem about it.

I'm a real sucker for irony... especially when it has karmic overtones. :)

You don't need panniers to transport cremains. Just a sturdy container in case of falling off a bike. A bike basket would do for most bikes.

See what I mean? Spillage happens even in automobiles. I transported my father's cremains in a sturdy box, then place into a large tote bag, on a public bus, and even considered transporting him to his final resting place on a folding bicycle. I did not need to go that far as I and others drove to the cemetery in autos.

I think you could fit my ash in my water bottle and carry me out that way.

I intend to make my own coffin. Unless I die a quick accidental death I'm pretty sure that if I get a fatal disease I'll have time to make one. It will be a plywood box and perhaps I'll paint something on it, like a phrase of some sort.

My mom's ashes probably would have filled a couple of them. You might want a second bottle.

Make it look like a guitar.
