Trying to get one of these off my old hard tail. Anybody have any experience? They are pressed on correct? I have the the Park Tool crank puller and have tried using it but it still doesnt seem to wanna budge. Any ideas?
I assume this is the square-taper Isoflow? Those can just be a bee-atchy sometimes. Make sure there isn't a crank bolt washer still in there. Make sure your Park isn't an ISIS puller (black handle) - - it has a larger 'button' on the end. Then get your tool threaded in just as far as you can - - you want to catch as many threads as possible so you don't tear 'em out.
If it still won't come off, the heavier artillery is stuff like automotive gear pullers or ball joint separators. A lot of tips here:
