I was reading the freeride hardtail thread today and I ended up at the Cove website and their Xc bikes look sweet. You proabbly know from my first 10 threads Im looking for a Xc but capable of "urban" riding bike. Their Xc bikes handjob and the hummer look nice but theres no price on their site. But now my local bike shop has a Gt I-drive 3.0 for $645. Which one do you think would suit me better keeping in mind I still ahve to ride this bike to friends houses and everywhere. Also if you know about the Cove bikes I need some prices and reviews same with the I-drive.

PS-pics will be up shortly for the new downhill bike in other thread

I think the cove stiffee is good for that.. probably the handjob also.

everyone loves a stiffee and a handjob. Who could turn one down? ;)

The Cove FRAME will probably run you costwise what the GT costs for the complete bike. You're probably looking at $500 to $600 for the frame alone.

yes, but you get what you pay for. Those Cove frames are really really nice. Nothing against the GT, but you're comparing apples to oranges here. :)

Cove Bike are made for abuse. Even the xc is a little overbuilt compared to other companies. Very nice bike, very cool shop and very cool builders. Great set of bikes.

Plus they have awesome names for their bikes.... I mean, who can deny the coolness of naming a bike "stiffee" and "handjob". :)

You really wanna keep bringing that up don't yeah?

I like the hooker myself :D Cove Hookers are clean and a sweet ride. If I had the coin I would grab one in a second

Wow... I could seriously go for a hummer... and yeah, I can see buying a hooker if I had the cash... I have to agree that hooker looks fun to ride. Foreplay is nice, too... but I think a Hooker would be nicer to ride hard. :)

We have a trail here called foreplay. Going up the hooker wouldn't suit the ride at all. To much of a climb. But coming back down hooker would rule foreplay for the 30 minutes it takes to descend :)

Hummer isn't my style, not enough bike :) (that and I hate ti)

Screw the hooker, I want the foreplay.:D

I like the hooker better than the foreplay, I think. I dunno, though.. part of me likes hard, part of me likes soft (tail, I mean). Both are nice, though. I'd obviously take either if given to me. If it was my dime I was spending, I'd rather pay for a hooker than foreplay. I'd have to say the Playmate is just completely overkill, though. The G-spot is much nicer.

I like my rear a little plush on the rough stuff :D

The g-spot is pretty sweet too. could potentially be my future ride. 6in is perfect for everything I ride :)

Anyone know if they have a dealer in the States? I can't seem to find anything on it on their website.

www.jensonusa.com can give you a stiffee and a handjob.. but they don't have any hookers, playmates, G-spots, or foreplay. :(

Call me prude but naming a bike handjob, hummer, and hooker is pretty sad. The names have nothing to do with cycling and if the intent was to get a bunch of 5th graders to chuckle over it in the bathroom, then I guess they accomplished it.

Real creativity is to find a way to relate the risque term to cycling in the form of a play on words or a pun. Just throwing "hummer" on a bike is unimaginative and crude. Why not call the bike "Butt" or "Boobs?" Same level of creativity.

Take Ibis, as an example. Old Ibis bikes had a cable hanger that was forged to look like a tiny human hand. They called this thing a "handjob" because it actually looked like a HAND and did a JOB. That's far more creative than what this Cove company did.

Its uncreative Humor, i love it..... I like the way they arent afraid to name their bikes like this, in my opinion, its much better than the likes of, for example, kona Roast or Specilized Enduro...

I feel the name Fetish is a bit worse than the cove ones.
