I you had to choose between always sleeping in late, or always waking up early, which would you choose? and why?
This morning I slept in, which means I slept in till 8am. Normally awake by 6am.
I'm up 4:45 every day and on weekends I sleep in till 5:30.
I like watching the sun rise on a morning ride.

If I could choose, I would choose to be an early riser. I actually pulled this off for about a year before my lifestyle changed again.
I can't choose. I'm a "out the door at the last minute to get to work slightly late" type of guy. :(
5am normal, 3am in the hot part of the year.
Early...relax...first cup of coffee...read paper
I don't even feel good if I sleep in. Always awaken around 5-5:30 without an alarm clock.

I have an ISP (my interrupted sleeping pattern) and I am all over the place about getting up. That's probably the worst case scenario, but according to this study, getting up early is second worst. Sleeping late is best. (No opinion on it myself, but it is interesting.)
How night owls are cleverer and richer than people who rise early (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1173028/How-night-owls-cleverer-richer-people-rise-early.html)

I'm retired, so I get up early to have more time to loaf!
Naturally an early riser, but more than a decade married to a night owl, combined with internet induced insomnia, I wake up anywhere from 0200 to 1200. Just kinda depends on if I have the alarm set and/or how much I had to drink the night before.
It's interesting how being married to someone with different habits can change you. I was always an early riser, but being married to one who prefers to sleep in for over 16 years, I can still get up early if needed (for work, etc) but when not necessary I easily sleep in until 10:00 or later like her.
I haven't slept past 7 a.m. in over a decade. I generally get up around 5:30 'cause that's when the dogs get up and my wife makes me take them out.

After 35 some odd years of getting up at 0500, it is rare that I sleep past then. I wish I could, on weekends and holidays.

I hate early unless it is my choice. Up by 4:15 during the work week and I think daily how no human should be forced to be at work that early in the morning. During the winter months I try and sleep until 8:00 on the weekend, but rarely do.

I'm up early (5:00 - 5:30) so I can get to work early, then leave early. On weekends I'll sleep in until 7:30 or so.
I've been up since 1965. I did all my sleeping in the womb.

As I have aged, I have noticed that it is much easier to go to bed early, and wake up earlier. I've been told this is "normal".

Wow, there seems to be way more early risers than late. I should have done this as a poll.
Now I feel like I woke up late again this morning at 7:30.

I usually wake up around 6ish am to go for a ride before work. Days I take off, I wake up at 9am.

Weekdays: Up at 3:45am for work. Weekends, i'm up at 7:30 only because I go rock climbing. Otherwise i'd totally sleep in until like noon or something.

Before I lived with my wife, I'd be up around 5:30am every day. Since I moved in with her, I get up at 6:00am to go to work and on the weekends we sleep in until 9:00am. That 9:00am is a compromise.
Late today. Did not get up until 6:29.

Being an old person, I would love to sleep in...sleeping in for me would be 6am! I generally fall asleep between 7 - 9pm and wake up between 3 - 5am or sometimes earlier. I usually get up once during the night. I hate sleeping in - I do best in the morning and want to get a start on the day. I am generally out riding between 7 and 8am. That's only in the fall/winter. Spring/summer when it gets warm, I just have difficulty sleeping period...
