Hey, there. I know these are scattered across the giant Swift thread, but I thought I'd start one dedicated to fixed gear swifts, since I'm considering setting one up.

Issues? Successes? Pictures?

(My personal interest is in finding some decent wheels that don't cost an arm and a leg.)

I'm in the process of building up a Fixed Xootr myself. From my understanding, it depends on the generation/model you get since the rear drops can vary between 132.5mm to 135mm (might be differing between swift and xootr too). The only company, to my knowledge, that makes a 135mm fixed hub is Surly. You could also re-space a 130mm track hub to work with the 132.5 drop outs. Only other issue would be to get the chainline right, which IIRC the 135mm surly hub will give you 53.5 mm--the right BB/spindle should fix that. More info: http://sheldonbrown.com/chainline.html

^Sorry, that really sucks. One of the reasons I wanted to build a light fixed folder was so that it WON'T get stolen, and will always be inside with me.
