Second question for the day :-) The NOS Burley Rumba my wife and I just purchased has wheels with Shimano HF07 hubs. I can't seem to find much of anything out about these hubs online as it looks like they were replaced by Shimano with the HF08's in short order. Is there anything I should know about these hubs? Are they doomed to fail in some weird way? It's probably a silly question since they're what we have and I don't think that we're going to be stressing them unduly with tons of miles or lots of weight but I'll admit to not knowing a ton about tandem specific parts before making our bike purchase and I do like to know about what I have and what to expect from it. Any input is welcome. Thanks!

They are fine they use the same parts as the M750 freehub. http://techdocs.shimano.com/media/techdocs/content/cycle/EV/bikecomponents/FH/EV-FH-M750-2054A_v1_m56577569830728748.pdf Santana uses the same model with a longer axle this puts more stress on the axle than yours has and I haven't heard of a bunch of those breaking. If you are paranoid buy a solid axles from wheels manufacturing these will bend rather than break.
