I'm building this up because i had some extra components around and i need some extra $ for another project (my Raleigh i'm building). It looks really nice imo, so far all i need to do is cable it up, get a chain on there, a few other small things like that. It was originally in really bad shape but i think i saved it, (original pictures below) some members did not want me to paint it but it looked pretty bad in person. I really wanted to know what a good value would be for this bike. I have someone interested at $180 but i wanted to get like $200 for it. Here is some info about it.

*62 cm, miyata crmo double butted tubing, semi pro / amateur racing style frame, Shimano drop-outs

*Somewhat matching wheelset, front is USA made Weinmann, rear is Araya VX-400, matching unknown hubs (they look alright)

*Shimano 600 arabesque shifters
*Sugino bladed crankest, 170mm i think, unknown quill pedals, Shimano bottom bracket
*Nitto B114 handlebars, Sturmey Archer stem, Shimano 600 Headset
*Suntour Sprint rear derailleur, Suntour ARX alloy front derailleur
*Weinmann 605 sidepull brakeset, matching drilled out levers, original hoods

Well you already have an offer for $180, so that's your rock bottom price. Given that, I'd advertise it at $225 and see what happens. Good thing you've got those "before" pics, to prove to potential sellers what it actually is.

I looked at this bike before you bought it. Good job resurrecting it. Large size frame, repaint, winter, seems like a hodge podge of components. You could be waiting for a $200 offer. Take the $180 and move on, IMO.

I have listed a bike on CL hoping to get a certain number, say $250. Buyer comes and offers $225. I say, "I just listed it today", and wait for $250 and it doesn't happen. A bird in the hand.... you know.

Yeah i'm not even going to bother hanging on to it that long. I'm doing the homie hook up of $140 and a cyclone brakeset since it is just a frankenbike that my parts bin puked on. It is a really nice frame though if someone really wanted to build it right or just enjoy it the way it is. tmh657 all of those factors are so true, and especially since you are in my area. This is just not a good season to sell the bikes. haha i've pulled the "i just put it up today" and never get a reaponse back until a month later, now i just let these things go so i don't end up sitting on them for awhile.
