Spied through the window of the co-op, then went back and paid cash as-is when they were open.
SN 123826 RH ... doesn't make sense from any of the SN charts I found.
The frame is crashed pretty bad, paint and chrome are bad, and saddle is pretty shot. However, it's got cool extras:
--Wrights mattress saddle--shot, but interesting ... vinyl coated canvas with horsehair-like padding
--original tubular rear carrier
--51 SA Dyno-3!! ( I am stoked! Stoked! StOkEd! STOKED!)
--original headlamp with working bulb! (Did I mention I'm stoked?)
--pretty but slightly damaged shifter (B-L-N-H?)
--Argentinian tires!
--awesome rebuildable pedals (WTB: weirdo pedal wrench--can I get a cone wrench to work?)
--chainring says RIN/INR/NRI
--decorative stickers from back in The Day!
Pics!
EDIT: Crud. The sizes I chose are kind of small. You can see a lot more detail if you take the Flickr link. The Bloomington, IN bicycle license is from 1964. The International Road Federation conference sticker is from 1957.
Wow. The International Road Federation is still in business: http://www.irfnet.org/
EDIT2: Bloomington Indiana is still in business! http://bloomington.in.gov/
I think the spare parts are going to go to my project DL-1, unless I suppose the frame can be salvaged.
