Been a while. I'm thinking meet at Filter or some such, get some nourishment and then ride. A real ride, maybe drop by Yojimbo's (looking for a Chris King) and then ride, ride, ride a real ride.

I will be at Yojimbo's early early installing my toothbrush holder (doing some odd jobs for the man) and then I would be up for a pedal about starting noonish? Wanna meet me there at noon?

fyi I raced for about a mile with a friend screwing around. caveat: I was on his bike which is huge even w/ the seat lowered and i was riding w/o proper shoes. but i realized that less riding this fall has gotten me more out of shape than I would like. I was winded. It sucked. Therefore I propose we maintain a decent average speed on the next ride(s).

and I want to see absntrs shiny new pretty thing.

I finally got my surly back in working order so I will probably ride that and focus my energy on cleaning up my poor raleigh that at this point needs alot, ALOT of love.

Alas... I'm heading back home to picturesque Cleveland for the holidays this weekend. I'll see you all at the TdC on the 9th... hopefully there's a better DCC turnout than Jeff and me (Morning Thunder!!!)

when I got home I was inspired to order new long skivvies (orange) from LL Bean.

A good ride indeed - at least we rode with purpose, otherwise I think we'd have been slumming it at a coffee shop instead.

Went out a little later in the evening with the roommate and tested out the new long wool ski socks - kept my feet super warm. My hands however just about froze - I'm now a firm believer in wool so some wool under gloves/liners will have to be found...

Is this some sort of elite crew? I'm kind of yearning to ride with people again. Moved here about 5 months ago and have yet to ride with anyone. When is the next group ride? Can anyone join up?
