I've just signed up for the 25 mile off road ride in the 2012 Casa River Century. I'm a new cyclist, so I'm starting small. I'd be interested in finding other riders to ride with.
CASA of the Eastern Panhandle is an organization that that provides volunteers who advocate for neglected and abused children in 3 counties in West Virginia. The CASA River Century is their popular and successful fundraiser.
Besides the century, there is a 50 mile road ride, a 25 mile road ride, and a 25 mile ride on the C&O Canal at Shepherdstown, WV. The road routes consist of gentle rolling hills on scenic back roads through farm country. Breakfast, lunch, and sag support are provided. There's also a "Tykes on Trikes" kids' ride.
Registration fees are reasonable. Children 12 and under ride free with a registered guardian. All riders must wear helmets.
