damn,
looks like all a thief needs is a buddy to acompany him with a video camera and if anyone asks any questions (which it's obvious nobody did) all you'd have to say is "it's actually my bike, i'm making a documentary on how easy it is to steal bicycles".
I lie that movie it proves a point.

this was posted months ago....but it shows why a good solid lock is a good idea. If people arent willing to help someone who's screaming for help as a mugger is whooping the crap outta them, then you can be sure even fewer will try to stop a thief.

Cool, I'm still green as heck to the area, but that will change :)

You don't even need a camera. There are loads of bikes out on the street STILL using the pic pen Kryptonite locks.
There's a reason my bike is about 18 inches behind my chair at work. :)

Wow. Maybe you should link to the niestat brothers page instead. You can thank that scumsucking site for putting their logo all over that vid. I doubt they even had permission.
This has already been posted here before by the way.

Thats why I am trying to make sure to figure out the perfect way to make sure my bike doesn't ever get stolen. I think I have figured it out and it will work perfectly! Best idea in my opinion. The enemy will not win.
Nothing else is worth it.

If you can live without Digital cable they've got a real cheap basic cable / broadband deal which is what we have. Their Digital rates aren't bad either.

some cities have bike lockers, they're big outdoor lockers, where its impossible to steal a bike.

I looked into those but those still don't solve the problem because nothing is impossible. Plus there won't be bike lockers everywhere. So its still a problem. Like for example lets say a bike locker is 10 miles from where you want to go. It wouldn't really be the best to lock your bike up there then walk the 10 miles to get there. I know you could take a bus, taxi, etc but that still is not the point. The point is you want to get there by bike totally. Can't do that all the time with the bike locker. So I had to make sure I came up with a better way.
The only other way you could do that with a bike locker is if you had your own you could bring with you but thats impossible as well.

their site tells me I am not in their service area...oh well, I'll just use brighthouse since that's what was reccomended to me by the aparyment managers.
starting tomorrow I will be netless for a while, until the cable rolls in.

Its not everyone. Its just me in my opinion. I can't help it. I always expect the worst because that way i am always prepared and always have lots of backup plans. Its a hard habit to break. In some ways its good and in some its bad. In my opinion its good because it gives me quick actions when need be. You have to think like a bike thief when trying to protect your bike in my opinion.
