Touring - From Stockholm to Oslo

Hello, Friends.
I'm going to go by bicycle from Stockholm to Oslo on June 29th.

Can I cycle on this route? Is there a way by which you can not ride a bike?
Maybe you advise to go somewhere.

I took a quick look at your route and it looks like the roads you've chosen aren't forbidden to bikes. Some of them might be a little exciting during commuting hours, but Swedish drivers are most often very polite and understanding of cyclists. It looks like a wonderful ride! My maps are packed in the basement at the moment so I can't make suggestions for places to go/see. :/

I found some community, but only in Swedish.

And one more question. I have the bike Avalanche 1.0 2011 (stock equipment, only change the pedals to the shimano xt clipless). What need to change on my bike before the long trip?

If you go further north there will be fewer cars (once you get away from the Stockholm area). It is nice to come into Norway by Halden as you have planned though. Get some slick narrow tires for your bike. Will you have panniers both front and rear ? The road will pass through large stretches of forrests where you can camp where you like.

I found some community, but only in Swedish. You can write in English, most Swedes talks and understands English.

I have also looked at your suggested route. You can not cycle on E18. That is a highway. I suggest you go more north. From Karlstad you can use minor roads to Olso.

Will you have panniers both front and rear ?

Unfortunately, I'll not have the panniers, only backpack 28L. But I am going to buy the rear pannier racks.
I have two option:
1. sleep in the hotels - expensive, but very comfortable.
2. sleep in camping - cheap, but I'll go alone, so maybe will be boring and not enough comfortable.

It's my first long trip, I don't have experience.

I suggest wild camping. No need to pay money for putting up your tent. Look for nice spots lakesides. As long as you don't interfere with private property it is legitimate to put up your tent for one night without owners permission, also to pick berries and mushrooms. "allemansrätten" is the swedish word for this privilege.

If you're the social sort, camping might get a bit boring, but I don't think any more so than riding alone mostly because the nights are so short. You can cycle until almost 9 pm, still have decent light to pitch camp, eat and fall asleep. My first tour, I did just that and was pedaling happily along at 3:30 am the next morning. Not much dark time to wait out. :)

Where in Stockholm I can buy the cheap (up to $100) tent? I don't want to take the tent from Russia to Sweeden, I buy it there and give to somebody for free)

no there is a 3rd , between the 2, is Hostelling..

After a quick search on-line, the only place I quickly found inexpensive tents at that price is Biltema. I'm sure there's one in Stockholm since it's a large chain store, though I'm uncertain where.

The cheapest, a 2 man, is about 60 USD.

I suggest Stadium and Sportia. Both are national chain of sports goods. They shuold have some cheap tents during camping season. Another cheap is RUSTA.
About Biltema, their stores uslually located on outskirts large shoping centres. You need to cycle there or use public transportations. Stadium and Sportia have shops downtown.
