Hey Everyone,

I am wondering what kind of tires I should get. If any of you have any ideas for tires that would work with conditions out here in Utah--mostly dry, looseground/gravel , and rocky--please let me know. Oh, and a tire that will perform on the downhill and uphill sections of the mountains. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

If you are looking for a biggish 2.0 the Hutchinson Python works very well in loose conditions.

My local trails are a lot like that; the WTB Weirwolfs are very popular. Don't use Tioga Factory DH or anything with deep tread and a hard compound...I'm running them and they have very little traction.

If you can avoid mud, Panaracer Cinders are made out of a brilliantly grippy compound that sticks to the ground in dry conditions like a magnet. I use 1.95" but hey do a bigger size.
