Training & Nutrition - Blurred vision

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Recently after two long rides my vision has become blured.
I can see fine out of each eye but they don't seem to to sychronize.
It only seems to happen after long rides and goes away quickly.
Has this happened to anyone else and any idea about cause/action?

It's happened to me as well. I don't know what the cause is but I suspect stress or overtraining. Taking it easier during the ride when I notice it starting has helped.
BTW: I do have migraines from time to time. Don't know if the correlates to any thing or not. It's just more info.

I've had this happen during long rides. I don't start getting it until around the century mark, and it doesn't always happen. My guess is that it's blood sugar related. Try eating a couple hundred calories of carbs immediately after the ride, and then keep eating over the next couple of hours. See if that helps. I have neither migraines nor headaches.
Another possibility is that your glasses aren't optically perfect. Try better/different glasses.
I don't get mrigaines but do wear polarized sunglasses that might not help.
The worst part is that it happens when I am still riding.
It does seem to related to long rides (60 to 100 miles). I have done these distances and more without any effect in the past and I am in good shape thanks in part to the mild winter. I will try to have a gel however the first time it happened I was being careful about getting enough caloriores.
