We need more stickies!!!
Of course, this post is sober, so that probably won't happen...

i hate my timbuk2. want to reload.
I like my Chrome Citizen. Carries everything I need although at times it can be a tight fit. Maybe I'll get a bigger one next time.

Ok, wtf is the point of this thread if it's all "I love my brand XXX"?
Hey, thanks for the insightful review and comparison with other products on the market. Now I can go forth and make an informed purchasing decision.
I think my shoes are getting sticky.

made the jump from a timbuk2 bag to a chrome ranchero. two very different bags. I've used a timbuk2 bag since '97 with no problem (survived a motorcycle accident). But this year I needed more room and looked into the reload bag. I noticed they didn't have a sternum strap so in came the chrome. So far I like it; it's a backpack style, more room than the timbuk2 and the more important aspect is: it looks good.
That's my story about bags. The end.
Do I ever have a point at 4:43am?

But this year I needed more room and looked into the reload bag. I noticed they didn't have a sternum strap...Actually, you can add a sternum / waist strap to all of their messenger style bags for something like $3. I put one on mine and it works great. Hella better than the cheapo over-the-shoulder "messenger" bag from Anvil or something that I had been using before.
I love my Bagjack.
Hated my Timbuk2, hated my Ortlieb. Chrome.. Not bad, but not good either.
I would like to try Reload bags, my friend has one and it looks very comfy and durable.

I love my ghetto messenger bag conversion. I've found you can get a cheap imitation mess bag and sew an old backpack strap on the sucker and you're good to go, my shiz is custom!

R.E.Load Bags. Great people who make the best bags with the most custom options I've ever seen. Only thing I'll use, ever.
I won't knock Timbuk2. I have one and I like it. It holds all my crap, resists the rain, and looks pretty sweet.

Hey! he said bag debate! I'm disqualified but I still like to read on it :p "Best" bag is kinda impossible, since "different" is all that'll result if you try.
I've been testing our bags everyday for years which is cool but kinda lame since I can have a new one anytime but can't wear it (still testing my first one, seeing wear & tear means you gotta wear and tear...maybe I'll put a ferret in there, that'll be a good test)
...maybe I'll put a ferret in there, that'll be a good test
Put a badger in there. That's a better test!
maybe the pimp is testing the bag?

I love my reload bag. Nice people, small business, handmade bags by kids in philly. It sucked having to wait a month for a bag, but it was worth it.

My medium Timbuk2 is sweet. Just the right size, comfy (no more pinched nerve with the addition of a nice pad ganked from another bag), and has proven to be very durable. Also achieves totally sick levels of indie in all black with a big fat "Unamerican" patch on it. :p I'll be supplementing it with a bigger Chrome bag before terribly long.

I have the giant XL PAC (so big I can actually climb inside it) for laundry, costco, and taking my other bag + gear + helmet + laptop to get a bike. Good for party tricks too.
Oh, and a crappy old Timbuk2 that will be replaced with a Dank once Chistma$ is over...
If I had more cash, I would get something else, but as for budget bags (under $100?) - I LOVE my Crumpler Seedy Three ($50 at REI, last years model or something). Much much more comfy than my Timbuk2, plenty of space (probably comparable to Chrome Metropolis, although I don't have a volume measurement on the Crumpler), feels like it will last forever. I've also yet to hear anything negative about Crumpler from anyone.
I don't think I could fit inside it, but maybe an 18" pimp could.

I was just flipping through the t.v. channels and saw CNN reviewing messenger bags for gift ideads. The guy doing the review said that brief cases are so 90's and messenger bags are in. The more color the better. Healso said that these are the same bags that you see those sweaty bicycle kids wearing. NO **** Dick Tracey. HE was holding a Timbuck but I think he haad shown some others before. Found the whole thing to be rather funny.

chrome bag leftover from cozmo.com kicks arse. tons of room, water doesn't stand a chance and it's comfy to wear even with two cases of PBR in it.
