I guess from what you just said the extra thick is what I would go with but instead of buying expensive innertubes once they pop I would just buy those kevlar tube protectors that thay have they are really nice my uncle uses them on his Specialized MTB and they protect the tire pretty good I dont know that they would protect the walls of the tire they pretty much only protect the bottom where most the thorns and stuff get the tube But, to make a long story short the kevlar tube protectors are really nice and less expensive in the long run!!!

i run mr. tuffys, and they work great. there like 10 bucks each but they get the job done.

I've heard Mr. Tuffys work insanely well.
i use the really thick ones and i've only popped one of the thick ones. I really like them - I used to have the one with the white glue insid of them. but theyre not as good as the thick ones. but the thick ones are heavy
kevlar tube protectors are really nice and less expensive in the long run!!!
a good option

The basic $1.99 tire tube works for me. Inspect your rim strips and tighten any loose spokes also file down any burrs inside your rims.keep the tire pressure at maximum pressure and they should last for a long time.

I just buy them in bulk from Albes and Empire. I only pop a few tubes a year, so most of my extras end up going to friends anyway.
