I am upgrading my group set from Sora to 105 5700. I already have a sora crank with what I assume is a sora bottom bracket. I am about to purchase and install the 105 5700 crank, and I want to know if I should replace the bottom bracket to maybe dura ace for $33 or just leave the one already installed in there? The bike was bought new in 2010, so I know there is nothing wrong with it.
What do you think?

Personally if I were doing this upgrade I would spend the $20 and get a 105 BB, but that's just me.

What are you plans for the Sora crank? If you are planning to sell it, the Sora BB included would make it more desirable. Adjust your price accordingly and put it towards a 105 BB.
If there are no such plans, then I'd just run the Sora BB til it needs to be replaced. I don't think you'll notice significant differences. Bearing longevity and lighter/stronger cups is what you may get with the high end BBs. Don't forget the BB is a very low RPM interface. There will be no increase in efficiency due to reduced bearing friction here. That's just marketing science. ;)

Thanks WNG, that's good advice, I do want to sell the old group set, and I didn't think about selling the BB with it.

I'm highly doubtful you'd notice the difference, or that someone buying a Sora groupset would be expecting the bottom bracket to come with it.
The only reason I'd change is if the 105 crank required a different spindle length.
