Touring - Surly LHT spoke sizes

I have a standard factory built Surly LHT with 26" wheels.

I am looking to buy some spare spokes and cant find out the lengths I need.

IIRC there are two different lengths for the rear?

I should note that I seem to have a slightly older version of the bike, with XT hubs and Alexrims Adventurer rims.

If you cannot get them measured, email Surly. They are very good about responding to email. Sent them an email the other day and heard back within 2 days. Same happened several years ago.

For most bikes you can get by with one size of spokes for all three types of spares. When building or rebuilding wheels having the right length is very helpful, but when broken down by the side of the road, any spoke that engages a few turns into the nipple and doesn't poke through enough to cause a flat is good enough to get you going (and keep you going).

I stowed the proper length spoke inside the pannier I hung on that side.
LR,RR(only used that one, once) & Ft.

263mm front and non-drive side rear.

261mm drive side.

DT Swiss Champion 14g straight gauge with brass nipples.

This is with the 26" Alex Adventurer rim and XT hubs.

I have a 2008 LHT FYI.

You might want to check with Surly on the specific lengths for your model year.

I'm pretty sure they will be the same as the above, but you never know.

I bought my spokes from Harris Cyclery. I told them what hubs and rims I had and they supplied the correct spokes.
