I'm using a converted road hub as a fixed wheel (brazed cassette hub) Am thinking of buying a regular track wheel. Would be a wise choice? Any obvious advantages? My wheel hasn't been redished, I'm using spacers to get the right lineup, seems to be working OK but I am thinking it might be better to change over.

Uh, you want a lockring?

If you mean you welded the cog on by brazed, that might work, but you'd never be able to change the cog...

no goofball, he used a cassette hub that was brazed so that it couldn't freewheel. then, he put a cassette cog on the splines, and used spacers to adjust the chainline.
