Thanks for the links dude, I knew about them but thanks again! ;) I may end up buying one of those tool sets but I'm going to wait to see if someone has a really decent set I can pick up. I have yet to venture over to harbor freight but will be headed there this weekend to pick up the mentioned tool and see what else they may have there. :thumb:

The case back opener is the tool you need the most. With it you can open up the back to change batteries or whatever. You can even swap out movements. You'll also need some small screwdrivers but you don't have to buy watch-specific tools for that. You might also want a tool to change bracelets or straps. I actually have about as good luck using an old XActo knife, I just have to be careful with it.
The next step in watch work would be removing hands and dials, and there are special tools for removing hands and putting hands back on.

You sound like me! I'll be picking up the case back opener tool this Friday or Saturday. BTW, I am trying to get better at working with mechanical "wind up" type watches. ;0)
