My neighbor claims he used to paint the inside of his bike
tires with latex paint with a couple drops of turpentine, to
prevent drying, and paint the inside of the rims with the
same thing and install a tubeless valve stem. The brass
ones meant for tank installation. He said he would pull
nails out and they never leaked. He claims he could wear
the tires down to the cord.
BTW, he is a good neighbor but:
He has been abducted by aliens several times.
He has located King Solomons mines in NW Arkansas
but doesn't want to pay all the taxes on the treasures.
And they might have a curse.
He commuted on his bike seventy miles each way for
several years and averaged sixty MPH in all kinds of
weather.
He owned the first Mustang off the assemble line
and later sold it for a million dollars but the check
bounced and he never found the guy that bought
the car.
He has never been married and lives with his mother.
He is about sixty years old.
People mess with his stuff, peak in the windows, steal
his gas and throw things on the roof every night.
We have lived in the house next door for twelve years,
we have never had anything touched, we seldom lock
the house. The neighbor is watching every thing all the
time.
He once called 911 when he saw someone in our house
when he knew we were gone. It was a oscillating pedestal fan
moving the drapes and casting a shadow in the drapes.
Any way, what do you think about the painted tire thing?
I might give it a try on an old Wally bike sometime.
