Hi, I have and old Moser TK1 equipped with a Dura Ace 7402 group. The crankset is this one:
http://velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx?ID=196830b9-5b84-440c-b26d-fde77aff77c8&Enum=115

53/39 of course.

Now I really want to change this crankset with a compact one, because I began to like going through more hilly courses.

Problem: which compact cranksets can I buy, that are compatible with my 8-speed Dura Ace setup? I know there's Shimano FC-2350, but it's heavy and horrible, and near impossible to find in continental Europe.

So I gave a glance at FSA site and I found this Vero Compact crankset:

http://www.fullspeedahead.com/products/37/Vero-Compact-Crankset

The site claims it's compatible with 9/10-speed, but how about 8-speed (my current chain is a SRAM PC870 chain)?

And in case it's compatible, should I change the bottom bracket too (I have this one http://velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx?ID=f3075baa-c7b4-4b22-b6de-821d7d7b7b97&Enum=119)? This one has an axle length of 112 or 113mm, could this Vero crankset be mounted without problems?

I looked up and there are different opinions on the internet, does this Vero Compact crankset require a 103mm or a 110mm axle length?
