Not that I have one of my own to offer, but Madame Pobble most certainly does:

There is nothing wrong with "70s Orange". I call it that because of all the bikes produced back then that were that particular shade of orange.
You rarely see it now.

My first 10-speed was an early 70s orange CDI with full Campy Valentino Extra gruppo (er, front and rear derailleurs). Loved that bike. Took me from 9th grade to grad school.

Well the Gator orange would be pretty demeaning for a dedicated Dawg to have to put up with. Lots of red and black bikes to choose from now. This here Dawg does have some orange on his CAAD 10

Well the fork tips and bottom of the stays are orange and the blue definitely isn't gator blue. My UGA graduate daughter hasn't made me get rid of it either.

What about an orange Vaya? I saw one today at a LBS... I'd ride it.
La Grande Orange, and a detail.

I wasn't keen on orange when I bought this bike, but over time it's received plenty of compliments and now I love it:

It's fairly well dialed in for me.

Brit Bloke,
That is a nice Giant you have. That colourway is unique and goes well.

Love the Vaya. I may get one, but it will be the charcoal color. I think some of the orange bikes look great, but I would not ride one. It's a football thang. :)

Back in 1971/72 when I first started riding seriously, the fashionable bike to own was the Merckx 70's orange Colnago. And then Velo Club Berkeley (Peter Rich's Velosport-sponsored team) wore orange jerseys. Yup, orange was pretty much THE color of the early 70's. And all because the Italian Molteni sausages came wrapped in orange and blue packaging. That was before they got busted for contaminated meat, as I recall...
