Bicycle Mechanics - Seatpost issue, Infinite tilt adjustment?

Dear carleton Im having troubles with my new frame, The seatpost doesnt have enough tilt to be Level, and i cant ride with the saddle point up my bottom >..< Right now im using a FSA carbon seatpost

And the Tilt adjustment Is not enough for Level on the frame, I'll take pictures to show you how ridiculous this is..

Im asking, What seatpost has infinite Adjustments? I was thinking thomson, Or that raceface seatpost, Imma try switching to a Kalloy seatpost to see if they can adjust lower\

Also, The seatpost Is too long): It hits the bend in my seattube, If i cut the post by 20mm will it affect it much? If i have the min length in frame i should be safe right?

Thomsons are a bit pricey but have a nice micro-adjust bracket. No problem shortening a seatpost with a hacksaw, as long as you keep the the minimum insertion of 2-1/2" or below the bottom of the top tube which ever is deeper.

Ok, I will shorten it with a hacksaw this weekend, Imma upload a picture when i get home, The seatpost is no where clost to 73 its around 63 its very Very VEry SLACK

OK I see your problem. Buy a Thomson post. the clamp is made to work properly even with their 10 degree offset posts, which pretty much duplicate your seat angle. What ever you do, don't buy a Thomson offset post since that will make things worse.

There are also some posts with virtually infinite angle adjustment. The Onza comes to mind as a possibility since you don't need an offset bracket.

No, the lower plate will restrict the range of travel too much. Most two bolt posts will have the same issue as would have a Thomson
except that when he started making the set back posts, he had to reconfigure the clamp to accommodate it.

The less expensive option is the Onza (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=3619) because it doesn't have a lower plate to restrict travel, so the rotating bracket has almost 360 degrees of adjustment.

I have a small number of the top end Onza,s to closeout, but it depends on the SP diameter. I also have Thomsons, and can put the top plate they use with the 10 degree setback post onto a straight post which will give it the added 12 degrees of tilt to the front.

Get a common plain top seatpost, Kalloy, and the saddle clip Brompton calls it's Pentaclip,
.. its really more than 5 parts, .. , it will set ahead of or behind the seat post
and at 360 degrees
multiplate clutch like friction, step less, one bolt. mostly aluminum.

not a highly polished seat post , but cost is less, and Kalloy supplies diameters
others have dropped ..

other companies also make that round rotating saddle rail clamp,
and pinch bolt type fitting. like Moots, in Ti.

I could do that, Do you think i can get thomson Straight post and replace the 2 bolts with long threads adding more adjustablity?

Thomson, are in the US, you can google, get their web address and ask the company..

I got a cheap gravity seat post, it may work for your application.

I tilted the seat a bit forward so it has about a 30 degree tilt.

with that slack of a seat tube, you need to get a seatpost with this type of head.
