Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Did a real short ride while daughter was cleaning stalls yesterday. It was a nice country road but that chip seal creates a harsh ride on a road bike. Anyhow, rode about 5 miles, I could have gone farther except when took the bike off the car I realized I left my saddle bag with all the flat repair tools at home so I didn't want to get to far away from the farm (I took it off to adjust the seat). I managed to elude one dog, scared the crap out of a horse (man did he ever snort when he saw me coming) and scared a bunch of ducks. My sit bones hurt but I think I have the saddle dialed in a little better. So the reminder is to double check to be sure you have everything before leaving the house! Ride on!

Least you found out before you left , not after you had a flat

Thanks Isaac for that "replace immediately" reminder. Off to the LBS on tonight I think
