The bike has "500 road miles on it" he said there is no damage i.e. dents scratches on the frame. It's an 04 model...I offered 650 (that's 1/2 of MSRP) should I be willing to go for more or less?

you probably saw my other post, i have an 05 but i would have gotten an 04 for that price in a heartbeat. i have used it on long fireroad/singletrack rides, a couple cross races, and right now as my road bike with some nice 23 tires on it. handles everything well. if the bike is clean, thats a steal.

If I can't get it for 650 (I think he wants more) what would be acceptable

hmmmm..my 05 was just over 1100 new, i'd say 800 is pretty fair. it might be only 500 miles on the odo but thats still used.

JUST over 1100 new?! Where are shopping?? Do they have any companies they'd refer to in East Tenn???...that's alot cheaper than here...they want 1300 out the door here for an 05 and that's considered a good deal by one guy..not by me

i ordered mine from helen's cycles in in santa monica, ca. not sure what to say but they quoted me 10% off on an 04 but when they found out there were none left they stuck to their price on an 05. i think i got an early one cause it came with ultegra shifters and it's spec'd for 105's. i've swapped the pedals for candy's and the seatpost for a thomson setback.
have you ridden the bike yet?

well I've ridden a bianchi axis...not the one in question, just one like it, and that's what's got me liking this bike...it's super light and was comfortable while I rode it.
