I could have done the Fully Loop in an Hour, but i'll settle for 1:04. Had to stop a couple more times, cussing in irritation to adjust my bars and saddle..lol

You should at least put a 'NSFW' tagline in the header. We've got minors and impressionable types that ought not to be subjected to the language.

Ouch!
Any sudden stop is never good, especially on a bike!
Mmmmmmm ... and so what exactly was the purpose of those posts? Seems like a pretty dumb place to stick something!

I think they were there to put chains up in case they closed that area..i kinda wondered that myself.

Or maybe to prevent cars from going there?

THat actually makes a lot of sense..that area is right beside a golf course and there are a lot of Golf carts in the area.

Be glad you didn't fall over or get ejected over the left side.

I`m always up for colourful language. Glad / lucky you didn`t go over. My bars are 630mm, I`m sure I`d have trouble there.

Yeah...i probably should have slowed down to clear the middle...i was just on a roll trying to make it under an hour for that trail. It is a big jump compared to when i first started in October with my very 1st MTB ride there at 3 hours!!!
Your bars look really narrow for your shoulder width. Maybe it's exacerbated by the chest mount camera.
My bars are 670mm after cutting them down (from 700). They would definitely not make it through the left side like you tried, no sure about the center.

Yeah..the are too narrow Colin..i have been told that many times. Im still looking for a decent set of bars..something along the lines of 760mm or so.
Downhill/Freeride bars can be that wide. You'll have some problems getting through trees in singletrack, if you have any riding areas like that.
Sorry to hear about the mishap...looks like the middle was clear with no chains. How big is that trail? From 3hrs to 1 hr, that's a good sign of improvement and good cardio.

There are some like that but maybe i could go a little narrower. Anything should be better than what i have now.

All three were clear, it was a last minute bad decision thats all..lol
The Loop is 12 miles. The first time i went there i pretty much walked all the uphills. After the third time, i was able to ride them all up at about a two hour pace. Now i can pretty much ride at about 70-80% in about an hour at mph average. Just gotta keep pushing.

Like I mentioned before, my bar was originally 700mm wide, which in my book is pretty big, and I had some trouble with trees. I cut it down to 670mm and it's more comfortable and easier-- physically and psychologically-- to get through narrow spaces.
I really like Truvativ (SRAM) bars, they have a huge variety of inexpensive, light, and strong bars both carbon and alloy. My bar is a Holzfeller World Cup, but you'll want to shop around based on how much rise and sweep you want. Your current bar looks like a low rise, maybe 15-20mm, and little to no sweep. $40-60 for alloy, $100-140 for carbon. (there are carbon bars way, way above $140 but you don't need to spend that to get a good one.)
FSA makes some good, affordable bars too. They have less variety than Truvativ but might have something you like.

Hey Charlie. Great video; I hope it didn't hurt too much. I have similar bar ends to put on my bike for spring and where I ride there's a swing arm gate that I have to ride through one handed with one end of the handlebars under the gate, so I can totally see getting hooked the first few times I go through.

Thanx Victoria! It wasn't bad at all..after one of our rides, the guys and I had a great time laughing about it...the type of laughing where you laugh but don't make a sound...tearing and banging the table..especially when i started cursing and they knew how frustrated i was..LOL...AHHH good times!!!
