Hi all,

I'd like to embark on the financially questionable journey of replacing a rim on an oldish Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheel, but I' not entirely sure that I've identified the right replacement to order.
I have the serial number of the damaged rim, and someone claiming to be able to get the rim for me, but when I ask him to cross reference the serial number all I get is "huh?"
Would anyone here be able to confirm the vintage of a Mavic wheel from the serial number?

Have you tried contacting Mavic's US importer to see if they can help?

Not the US importer, but I have contacted the one in Sweden, where I'm at. They also replied that they didn't do serial numbers.

I have a good hunch on what rim it is, but serial number would have been such a reassuringly definite confirmation
