I've wanted a custom headbadge ever since I first found out they exist. All it needed was the right frame, and I have the frame:

Now the question is which image for the headbadge...

I've considered one with my initials, and the O as a bicycle wheel, as well as some images I've always been fond of. Now I ask you, C and V's best and brightest minds, for input. Which option do I go with?

Alfred is the most appropriate for the bike. Along with your sense of humor it is a natural, this in spite of me looking more like Alfred than you! :)

I've been leaning that way myself! I was also thinking, along the same vein, something like this:

It's sad...I like to think my beliefs and world view was developed by all of the great works I've read, philosophers, studying history...

Really it comes down to Mad Magazine.

Well, a lot will depend on how its going to be made. I'd say simpler is better. Try to imagine each image simplified and see if it carries through. For example, on your last image, how will you depict which is black and which is white? Will Alfred look like Alfred? Or will he just look like some random male face?

FYI, I am guessing cut out of brass... so maybe my post is irrelevant.

I think the material will depend on what I chose...she uses brass, aluminum, silver, steel and bronze. I do think your comment is a good one and worth thinking about.

The Mad magazine reference fit the bike. I think the Spy vs. Spy reference would be easier to do in metal than Alfred. Besides everyone would think it is David Letterman.

My favorite part of the magazine was the last page where you would crease the page and make a new picture of the 2 halves.

If the Huffy is going to be repainted or powdercoated in black, then I'd go with Darth Vader.
If you're not going to repaint at all, then Alfred E Neuman.
I like the Spy vs. Spy, but idea but unless you paint them, it'd be hard to get the proper idea across (I think) and might be too big for the head tube (I think).

Spy vs spy would also fit with the grey, ambiguous, ti frame.

Maybe make a badge like one of those fold-in pictures that were in the back cover?

Cut a logo off a beer can, and paste that on sloppily.

We're going with Alfred.

I'm also having her so do something else which should turn out very cool.

Spy vs. Spy is cool, but I'd go with their cousin crows.

I vote for Bob Dobbs. As a lad in Cleveland in the late 80s, I enjoyed seeing him around.

I have a bunch of Serpico stickers that I've picked up in Thailand (he's very popular there as a warning to corrupt police officers) and have been holding on to for use as head tube decal. Don't have a photo handy, but something along the lines of:

Which are the cousins?

There's a cartoon strip with crows in it, drawn just like Spy vs. Spy.
I can't remember it, but the crow head would be cool.

Can't help it, I'm reading a Nick Cave novel, and crows are all over it.

Nick Cave of nick cave and the bad seeds? I didn't know he could read, let alone write. I'd definitely read something he wrote - that dude is NUTS.

I vote for the Sub Genius guy.

There used to be a comic book called "Badger." He once battled a evil insurance salesman that looked like the Sub Genius guy- and hit Badger in the head with his pipe.

Yes, use hot melt glue, a lot of it.
