ok... soooo I'm trying to learn a bit about Miele bikes so I have been doing some research... I figured that it would be neat to start a thread where ppl can post pics of their Miele Road bikes... what's the best model you have? Lets bring out the rare ones...

I'm going to get things rolling with one of mine... it's a Miele Latina Road Issue that came originally with a Colnago Fork... I found this interesting because I did hear that Miele had some connection to Colnago...

Here is my Miele Condor I picked up recently. I believe it is an 85-87. Can't find any catalogs or serial number info to help identify. If someone is able to help let me know. It has Suntour Sprint derailleurs and shifters. I really like the components. I can switch the shifters to run it as friction or indexed.

The fade paint indicates a 19897 Condor, however the Sprint componets are not OEM, having been upgraded from Shimano Light Action.

The fork is definitely not original. Miele had an association with Ferrare and Rossin, but I've not heard of Colnago. The moment anybody hears that a brand has an Italian contract manufacturer, they assume it's either Cinelli or Colnago.

Well, I have heard more towards that than against... You are probably right... None the less the bike did come with that fork so I'm leaving it with the frame...

Any other unique high end Miele bikes out there? Anything more high end than this one?

Why is this one highend? Other than the barest glimpse of a Columbus decal there nothing to tell us the quality of the frame. what is the tubing level? what are the dropouts? what components were on it?

I agree with T-Mar that fork is very likely a replacement for some reason and if Colnago ever did any contrack wotk for Miele I am certain they would not have their own logo on the fork crown.

Too bad your making it inot a Fixie it may be a nice road bike.

i gots a pretty generic-looking Miele Tange Infinity frame, to which i'm going to add a columbus fork and build as a street geared bike...

+1 it's a terrible candidate with all those braze ons, shifters, fd, and rd.

The Latina was a circa 1990 model with Columbus SL and Athena components. It was an upper mid-range bicycle for the era. High end would be stretch. You might even consider knocking it down an extra notch, just because of the Syncro.

Well, I know that mine is not the highest end Miele, all I was looking for was to see who else actually had an equivalent or higher end Miele out there...

As a side note to all the comments, I already have 4 road bikes... I don't need another one, so That's why this one will be a fixie... But it can always be switched over to a roadie again in the future... I have 9 bikes so they can't all be roadies...

... about the fork... You are right... so I looked a little deeper and it is originally equipped with a chrome fork... I realllly don't like that chrome fork though as I find it makes the frame look cheaper... I like this one Much better... so I'm going to keep it with the frame... it will at least be a conversation piece...

The Bike's value depends on your location... Where are you located?

In a large Canadian city like Toronto it has a nice value... in the US it does not... Miele is a Canadian company so many Americans either don't know about the company or don't think it's worth very much...

I have bought and sold Miele bikes like that in the $150-$600 range...

NICE!!! I actually bought the exact super record frame shown above for $175... when I got home I noticed that the frame had a kink in it so I returned it... it was a shame though because it was a truely anazing frame!!!

I like how the rear stays on your orange bike are joined by the seat binder bolt! Very unique!!

The Chic, with Sante, was available from 1988-1990. However, based on the plum paint and decals, yours should be a 1988 model. Original MSL was $800. Value is highly dependent on local market conditions. Smaller frame size may further depreciate value in smaller markets.

The Sante group is fetching high, bordering silly, prices on ebay. I'd say in Toronto, all cleaned up and photographed well you'd likely get north of $400. The size may be a factor but last summer I sold a similarly sized "low end" (read mid-range) Pinarello outfitted with Shimano 105 of the same era for $500. Clean it up (especially those hoods) and don't look back. Keep in mind that although Sante is desirable, Miele (even in Canada) doesn't have the brand equity of a Pinarello or other classic namesake.

Bingo! I collect Miele bikes and I would EASILY pay $150-200 more JUST because of that word Miele engraved in the frame... Buy as was said above, frame size is a little small and to get the big bucks Toronto is the place to sell it

Hi, yea, at that size it will be slightly less value,.. I would consider taking the advise of the other posters and sell the group on eBay separate from the frame... I'll buy the frame if you want
