I've seen the pic of it on Sun's website...it looks pretty cool!
I guess there will be two versions of it, one in high ten steel, the other with chromoly(more or less), weighing in at 49 and 47lbs., respectively. There's also a difference in component specs, too.
I'm not in the market for one, having just gotten my Stratus recently...but if it's priced right, I imagine that there'll be a pretty good response to it. But it's got to be priced significantly lower than Catrike's or TT's offerings, all of which are proven winners....

It's great to see the price of trikes dropping, it should help increase the number of trikes out there and therefore help with innovation, price and variety.
The new Catrike Pocket is about $1,500 and is a significantly higher performance trike ie. lower and lighter.
The sun trike looks like a good cruiser, shopping style trike as it is high enough to get in and out easily, as most of the big name trikes are low enough to make standing up entertaining if you have leg or back problems.
I like high speed cornering to much to go for the sun. : )

Make a comparison with Catrike.
Two points of comparison that affect me is that the Catrike Road is 15 pounds lighter than the Sun CX (the lighter cromoly version) and two inches narrower than the Sun.
These figures are significant because I like to lift my Catrike into my vehicle or (when I work on my trike) carry it into the house (through the doorway) and down the stairs into my basement.
I am not certain that the Sun could get through my doorway.

MSRP on the EZ CX is $1494, _the same_ as the MSRP on the 26 lbs Catrike Pocket. Mind you, the Pocket is a compact trike with quick handling, so it might not be suitable for larger riders (mostly because of the seat width; length adjustment is quite large).
We have certainly come a long way from the days when trikes were all over $3,000!
