Looking for some up to date information about the North Bend Rail Trail in West Virginia. Planning on starting in Parkersburg and heading the 70 miles to the end with a night of camping over night before returning on the same leg. Depending on attractions, trail condition and mood we are in, it could be a two nighter. I appreciate any information that anyone can give me.

I camped at the picnic shelter @ Petroleum. It had an outhouse but no water. I went to a real nice house nearby and they gave me water.
Also camped at the gazebo next to the tunnel by the turnoff to No. Bend st. Park. No outhouse but its next to a stream. About 4 miles? east of Cairo. Its a nice ride that takes you thru villages.

The western half is more rural. The eastern half is like biking thru everyone's backyard. The trail can be well packed to narrow track to grass. Best when done as a group not solo like I did.
