I have started to feel some looseness in the cranks that came on my CAAD10. It's not the pedals or cleats.

This is a picture.

There is a small amount of play on the non-drive crank when side-to-side pressure is applied, ie the crank arm moves slightly in and out relative to the spindle, even when the whole assembly is torqued correctly, on and off the bike.

Anyone ever had this in their crankset? The chainring bolts are tight...what else would it be? Could it be the crank bolt retaining ring? No idea how to tighten that... :bang:

the splined interface is toast. you can try some retaining compound if it is not too far gone
