Among military pilots there is a thing called "Mustache March." Must be clean shaven on the morning of March 1st and then let the mustache begin. Not sure how it began but it seems to be a tribute to General Robin Olds who is a legendary Messerschmidt and MiG killing fighter pilot and sported a monster mustache until he reported to the Pentagon and was told to shave it off. No prizes are awarded other than bragging rights at the end of the month and harassing others in the interim with weak follicles.
