Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - Trek road bike with shimano 105. Can anybody identify this and tell me the price?

This is a bike I might be buying for $150 and I would like to know what it might be. The person I am buying from lives an hour away and knows nothing about bikes so any help would be appreciated thanks. http://eugene.craigslist.org/bik/2844945466.html

The only thing that appears to be 105 are the brakes. The crankset appears to be a triple. The derailleurs definitely aren't 105. I'm believe the derailleurs and crankset are Deore DX and this is a circa 1990/1991 Trek 1420. If so, and it's in good condition, then that's a very good deal. These originally sold for $750. To be sure, just contact the seller and have him get the model number, which are the numbers written on the seat tube. Then you can check it out against the catalogs on the Vintage-Trek website.

Component group is questionable but they all look like good solid parts so as long as nothing is bent or broken $150 is an excellent price on this bike. You could probably re-sell it for almost double that with a better ad and photos.
