A bit of a let down. So many mistakes. The next one will be better.

It's OK. Like anything else it takes practice. Everyone had to start somewhere. You just didn't see their first knives.

Proportions are a little off but you did a nice job. I made them in my 8th grade metal shop. Ahh the good old days.

yes, your next one(s) will be better - keep this one and years from now you will be able to trace your journey from the beginning.

But i agree it's finished very nicely. What kind of wood is that? Very pretty grain and color!

Used to make knives with a deer antler handle.
Bored a hole 3/8" in the end and set the blade with polyester resin(no pins).They hold up quite well.
